38a Art Gallery space is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is the latest creative endeavor from The Whitaker Group, a high-end streetwear and sneaker company headed by West Mifflin native James Whitner. 

 

The space serves as an arts hub for lectures, workshops and other programming, but specifically aimed at arts education and curriculum developed around contemporary Black history. 38a aims to provide opportunities for artists to experiment, emerging curators to learn to hang shows and space for other arts organizations to develop work.

The interior of the space is a clean and minimal approach to showcase various types of art mediums. Reclaimed herringbone wood flooring is a main focal point throughout the space with dark leathered furniture and a dark metal grey kitchen to compliment.
